Paid $860 via Western Union to the seller via his "accountant" for a parrot. Upon request he provided all documents including required certificates, immunization record, etc. The bird was to be shipped in a prepared container with three days of food and water, along with other items as a "bonus". The delivery was to be to me door by his "shipper". On the date the bird was to be shipped I was mailed that I had to pay an additional $2500 for insurance; this amount was to be 99% refunded when the bird was received. I then started real research on this guy as he had all the right answers when I asked about him being a scam artist and the fact that his web site went down recently. I found his shipping company was non-existant, among other things. He called the day before I was to receive the bird to ask for the additional money and I told him I was not paying it. He said he'd see what he could do and asked me to give him one more day. Haven't heard from him since.
