Ok, so this kid comes knocking at my door saying the he's selling books for school and that if he sells the most that he wins a trip somewhere. I didn't want to buy any since this had happened to me 8 years ago but thought nothing of it then.
This is for everyone out there to get the full feel of this company and what happens. My back story is that when it first happened I purchased a subscription, but after a while of not receiving the mag I went ahead and cancelled the check. However I was naive and didn't pay attention to the specifications for the mag cancellation. Needless to say I’m sure that the check was cashed and I never got the mags but thought it was ok since I'd cancelled the check and didn't look further into it till now.
Now back to recent events. I was going to turn the kid away since it would take forever to receive anything so it wasn't worth the money or the hassle. My husband then comes to the door to see what’s going on. I asked if he wanted a mag subscription but neither of us did, however he wanted to help out the kid so we got one anyways. We paid $67.00 to include shipping, $55 for the mags and $15 for shipping. 4 months went by and hadn't received anything so I read through the receipt for specifics of the delivery. It says to "allow 150 days for delivery..." So I wait 150 days and nothing. Mean while the mag publisher sends me an order form to subscribe for additional issues. Thank god my husband is lazy and did not clean up the office desk cuz I still have it. I decided to give the mag publisher’s office a call since they somehow have my information and it sure wasn’t from me. I tell them that I subscribed and haven't gotten an issue so they ask me for some bare minimal info such as zip code and last name. They lady then speaks my first name and I say yes in confirmation. She asks for my full address to verify it’s me and BINGO it's all worked out since it’s in their system for sure which makes it legitimate. She tells me that the mags are en route and should arrive before or on June 10th. I know not everyone is lucky like me and don't actually get the mags but if you do receive an order form from the actual mag company give them a call and ask what is the hold up. Chances are that the original purchase was legit and made it to the right people and the mags should be in process. Some more useful info is that the lady said that they get the subscription info from a third party which is why it’s taking so long. That it takes up to 100 or so days for the mag company to get the order from the third party. However I still wouldn’t trust those kids selling mags anymore. Just kick them away, the hassle and headaches aren’t worth it especially since the website to dynasty technologies looks shady indeed. What company doesn’t have a phone number to call like these guys? I just thought that to be shady also. The lady said it’s easier to just buy the mags from the publisher. I’m this company is more into scamming people than following through. Those sales people probably get trained on how to play on human emotions. Their stories regarding school fundraiser and such are what seem to get most people. Don’t fall for it.
