they claim that they will take your case because theyre sure you will win and dont help you with anything at all. I had to do all the work and get all my medical records. They came to my hearing empty handed and lost my case which i could have won if i would have gone to the SSI office! I would sue them if i knew how!

  • I want to offer you help because I used to work for them so I know what kind of scam they are running. You shouldn't have had to get your own records - that is THEIR job. I don't know why they would make you do that. They also should have NEVER told you that they were sure you'd win because no case is a guarantee. NO case.
You can ALWAYS file an appeal but there is a strict time limit - 60 days from the date of the decision. So act quickly. And drop Binder IN WRITING. Also notify Social Security that you have released them as your representation. Then get a small, local law firm that specializes in disability law. That is your best bet. They are the ones that can provide personal service and actually get to know their clients - unlike Binder and Binder which is just like a factory. It's all about numbers to them. You can also get free representation by contacting your local DCAP office.
And I have to warn you, if you win your case, Binder is still going to petition their fee on your award for whatever work they did on your case and they will likely be approved because you signed their Fee Agreement. Your only recourse is taking them to court over it.
I'm so sorry that you were mistreated by them. A lot of people are. But most importantly DO NOT HESITATE in filing your appeal! Remember 60 days from the date of the DECISION so look at the date on the letter that SS sent to you. You can file the appeal online. And then take it from there. Good luck!
