I own a Ford Windstar 2000 and the tranmission went out. I was advised by my mechanic to purchase a transmission at Stadium Auto Part and he would install. He stated that he has had good experience with their parts and service. On July 29th I purchased the part from Stadium, my car was in the shop the following day July 30th.

I recieved my car on Wed. August 10th, paying $840.00 for the installation of the part, and was told the part was malfunctioning. I contacted Stadium on August 11th they made arrangements for me to take the car to their mechanic for analysis.

On August 12th Stadium's mechanic confirmed the part was faulty. Within the day I went to Stadium to return the core and to find out how this issue would be rectified. They assured me they would take care of the issue. Two hours later I was told they needed to find the part and they would cover the part but not the installation.

I further discussed the issue with the Manager, Norman, he confirmed they would not cover installation of the good part. I explained I could not afford paying twice for installation. He asked me to call back the following day and he would see what he could work out.

I contacted Norm on Friday August 12th and he said his people would install for $600. I explained I did not have the money but needed my car. He asked me to call him back about a possible payment plan.

I am a single working parent of young children and need reliable transportation. I did what was necessary to get my car fixed and due to being sold a non functioning part, I am now asked to pay again to have the functioning part - I thought I was getting in the first place- installed. Somehow this does not make sense.
