I was looking for a better deal online than the local bike shop had, and came across this loser. Prices that were too good to be true, so did some research and sure enough... funny thing is I emailed them and they replied using the name "Denny Lee" which is the same name associated with rotospeed(another scam). Luckily I caught it early and lost nothing, please don't fall victim to these dirtbags!

  • Fdog, I think you have fallen into some scams or some stupid competitors trying to badmouth an honest old man who is taking away business from you.

For all true blue cyclists like myself, we know Uncle Tan of Tan Bike Shop is a one-man operator who doesn't even have a computer. The name Tan Bike Shop already tells you it's Uncle Tan and no one else. How can there be a Denny Lee?

Uncle Tan is a very mild guy. Not sure why so many clowns condemned him. I went to him to fix a small problem lately and he did not charge me a cent. I took the opportunity to ask him on all this complaint and he said he does not even know how to turn on a computer. He has been repairing bikes at a young age and he is in his 60s now. He didn't comment further and said he is a one-man operator trying to make an honest living. I felt that he had been misrepresented so much and really need someone like myself to tell the real story.

Guys, I think we should see for ourselves. BTW, Uncle Tan is retiring soon (heard was end of this year) and there are still many good bikes left. He is thinking of "lay-long" them in Dec :). I have my eyes set on 1 of the classic Raleigh bike ...a real beauty.

Guys, just the other day when I was there, another gentleman brought his 1972 Raleigh bike to Uncle Tan for some minor modifications. For the real cyclists, we know Uncle Tan does have the best collection of vintage parts. And I saw the reconditioned 1972 Raleigh bike ....REAL CLASSIC!!!! Really hope Uncle Tan doesn't retire so soon :(

  • Well maybe he is the victim of his own reputation and this scumbag Denny Lee capitalized on it. The website is no longer up under the name Tan Bike Shop, but you will find the same exact content if you go here- http://www.find-cycles.com. They now call themselves Find Bike Shop and it's definitely a scam, and if you email them a question you will undoubtedly receive a reply from Denny Lee. Sorry to the real Tan if he is in fact the real deal, but maybe he should learn how to turn on a computer to defend his reputation against lowlife thieves like this.
