I wanted to purchase two floor-level seats for the Street League Skateboarding Championship in New Jersey in August. TicketNetwork.com did have any tickets listed as "floor", but they did have tickets listed as "LWR", which was different from the description of ordinary seats offered in the stands. TicketNetwork.com's map of the arena also did not coincide with the actual map of the facility for the event. Just to be sure, I called and spoke with a representative, who informed me that "LWR" meant "floor." The "LWR" tickets were also of comparable price to the "floor" seats that were sold out through ticketmaster.

So, I purchased the tickets. When they arrived, they were for seats in the stands that were still available for purchase through ticketmaster for around $40 per piece (I paid over $350). I contacted customer support, and was told repeatedly that they had no "evidence" that I was told "LWR" meant "floor" (i.e. that I was lying). Of course, I had no incentive to lie--if I wanted the tickets (and I knew what I was paying), why would I request a refund? And, of course, TicketNetwork.com never had any floor seats to sell, so they "couldn't do anything for me."

They did offer me a $300 "credit" so I could purchase other tickets from them in the future if I returned the tickets. However, given that they misrepresented the tickets I was buying so that I ended up overpaying by around $200, and then refused to provide any meaningful customer service at all, I obviously have no intent to ever use TicketNation.com again.

Update: 06/05/2012

The issue has been resolved to my satisfaction with the company's assistance.
