On April 25, 2012, a bank draft for $29.95 was posted against our checking account. My wife spoke to our bank representative and was given a phone number to the entity that withdrew the funds. When the phone number (1-877-781-7082) was called, an individual identifying himself as "Clark" with Alliance Network answered. During the call we explained that we had not authorized Alliance Network to make any withdrawals. We have an automatic draft with another firm, First American Alliance, and it was assumed that there was a mistake made in the drafts. Clark said that he would reverse the charge and clear up the confusion. He also seemed concerned about the possibility that our bank would charge us with an over draft fee. He gave us a confirmation number and said that the account would be credited by the following Friday (5-4-12). Our bank received a refund check (#10359917) dated 4-30-12, from Alliance Network (4920 Atlanta Hwy. #203, Alpharetta, GA 30004) in the amount of $29.95 on May 3. However, on May 9 we were notified that the check was written on a Closed Account and our bank charged our account an additional $5.00. This check, like the others that I have read similar complaints about, is signed with a stamped signature "Joseph Adam Jacks" (or something similar, it is very difficult to read the last name). We are now in the process of closing our bank account and notifying creditors that are paid by automatic payments.
