I joined Match.com in January 2011 Paid for six month Subscription.
They had a six month garantee that if you email five people per month over your six month subscription, then you get the next six months free. Great that's easy. Wrote to many people and adveraged 8 people per month. Right on track and then some.
Then the tracking garantee(showing my progress) went away in July and I thought wow they really back up their claim of six months free. Continued into August using the web-site and thought nothing of it. Then I got my credit card statment and Match.com had billed me for the next six month subscription.$116.58. So I call them and they said I had not cancelled the subscription in time and I lost a month on the six month garantee because they renewed my subscription on the 9th of July. They said they can not refund the $116.58.
So here's the scam: They renew your subscription before your last month on the garantee which nullifies the free six months so your never able to complete your six month free supscription by the time your credit card statement catches up to you....but they won't refund your money (I did say charge July + and August... but they said I have to do the whole six months Paid) And most people think the free garantee had kicked in.
