I received a letter dated 4/12/12 stating that my identification as a recipient for reported cash award entitlements totaling over $2,500,000 has been confirmed.
Since I have been participating in a Publisher's Clearing House contest, I thought
they were working with PCH to be sure my name and address were correct.
I sent them $20 cash in their return envelope. Since then, I have received four more letters requesting $20 each. I wrote them a note stating that I had already sent them the $20. Just yesterday I received the last letter stating that they will transfer IMMEDIATELY $3,054,263.00 upon receipt of my claimant confirmation code and $20 (which I will not send). Of course, it's a scam and I'm hoping that you will be able to prosecute these people. I have kept copies of all of the correspondence from Northrup, Winslow and Partners and will be happy to send it to you, if that would be helpful.
Update: 05/15/2012
I have no proof that I sent the $20, since I paid cash. I have numerous letters that continue to come asking for more money.
I have not sent anymore!
