I was also called by this place. they told me all this stuff about getting our interest rates reduced. I fell for it. my husband was very upset that I had done this. I called them back and told them I wanted to cancel. the girl that I talked to said she couldn't but would tell them. my husband contacted the credit card co and told them not to let this charge go on because he did not authorize it. they said he needed to talk to the merchant which we had already done. at the time when we checked to see if it had gone on it was pending. I wonder if we had closed that account if we could have stopped it. I looked on our account the next day and we had been charged. I called and told some woman I talked to that I wanted my money back. she said they couldn't do that until we filled out some forms they are sending us. I asked her how adding 998.95 on a already high balance was going to help. she said that they were going to negotiate with them as soon as we filled out the forms. I said in the mean time we have to pay an even higher minimum payment. this has really hurt us. my husband has COPD and we have a lot of medical bills. that is one reason our credit card balance was soo high. I think it is a shame that there are people like that who prey on people that are in financial trouble. I will help anyway I can if these people can be stopped.
