I received a text message: "Calc IQ: Trivia Alerts 3xmsgs.wk at $9.99/mo. Enter your PIN on the website: xxxx Msg &Data Rates may apply" The way it's worded it sounded like an unsolicited offer...and I was NOT interested, so did nothing. Other messages followed with stupid trivia things, saying to text back STOP if I didn't want to receive them. Figured this was something like relplying to a scammer's e-mail. Confirming you had a live address. So I didn't touch those texts.
Got my Verizon bill today with a $9.99 premium message charge on it! Impossible to believe they can charge you if you don't decline! The local Verizon store put a block on those messages but said they couldn't refund my money. Will try them online. And may report this to the Do Not Call Registry.
