Last month a friend sent me a link to an advertisement that featured a woman allegedly from Crossville, where I live, who said she was making a very good living working for various companies from her home computer. After joining this outfit, they immediately started asking me very personal, invasive questions about my income and its sources. Then they wanted to know how much credit I had on my credit cards, and how much I would be willing to invest to start my own company. I told them I had no desire to start my own company, and that this whole thing was beginning to smell like false advertising. Then they promised to send me some materials I could use to get started doing some sort of computer work for existing companies, either through the mail or by Email. So far I have received nothing either way.
