The above company hijacked my computer and held me to ramsom! After a couple of attemps Mark, an indian sounding consultant, finally got me to listen to him after he explained he was a microsoft computer technician and had been told to contact me urgently, to report to me,the owner of a genuine microsoft computer that it had a virus. This sounded legit, however still extremly sceptical, i continued to listen. Mark explained the my computer was infected with cookies, i asked him will this cost anything? He said no, so i continued he got me to press the windows button etc, then they took control of my pc. He showed me the cookies then the computer went blank. I said what's wrong? He told me that the pc was so badly infected that his technician would have to fix it, for a cost of $194. Extremly angry with this we argued for some time, i asked ok, what if i don't pay? He explained to me that my pc would breakdown within a couple of days. So feeling like i was held to ransom i agreed to a negotciated amount of $134 on my credit card. Wow what a drama! My computer was up and running again within 15 minutes. I cancelled my credit card within 10mins after that. Now they are harassing me threatening a court order of $1000 if i don't pay! I will be reporting this to the police.
