Scammed like so many others: paid via PAYPAL for a pair of Patagonia sandals. Never received a status update with shipping info, etc. Sent two emails directly to the seller inquiring as to my shipping status--received no responses.

Filed a claim with Paypal and then the "seller" sent me a pink Hello Kitty child's bracelet, which arrive in an envelope from China. I notified Paypal and was advised to send back the "goods" to an address they provided. I did so via USPS Registered Mail and provided the tracking info.

I also sent Paypal (as "additional evidence") photos of the bracelet sent, the envelope it was sent in and the "advertised" Patagonia sandals I originally paid for. Was just informed by Paypal that:

"The tracking information you provided was invalid and we were unable to
confirm delivery of the item associated with this claim. As a result, the
case is now considered closed and we are unable to process a refund. We encourage you to work directly with the seller to find a resolution."

I've been a Paypal member for many years--with no issue. But this has been such a horrifying experience, I may completely shut down my Paypal account. I've sent them an email to complain, but it seems if they aren't ruling in favor of any of us buyers when this is clearly a scam, then something is amiss...
