Experian charged my credit card $19.95 on April 12, 2012. I never purchased anything from them. The statement lists it as "Experian*creditreport". I called Experian and got a customer call center in the Phillipines. The woman I spoke to, besides asking me for all sorts of I.D. info, finally told me someone by the name of Samantha G. used my credit card number to buy her credit report. She refused to tell me where this supposed credit report was sent or anything else about the transaction or purchaser. Besides closing the credit card account, I'm filing a complaint with the FTC and my state attorney general and encourage everyone else who this has happened to to do the same.
