I heard an ad on the radio thinking it was a legitimate. The commercial said that for only $19.95 you can receive $2000 worth of grocery vouchers to help companies see what consumers are purchasing. I asked the lady several questions and she said that the $19.95 would be refunded to me if I call the toll free number that is in front of the welcome package within 30 days. If not, then a reoccurring charge of $29.95 will be put on my card for a membership to www.freeshipping.com. I received a phone call from their "verification" center and they said they needed to charge my card another $1.00 so that they could verify everything and that the $1.00 would get refunded back as well as long as I call the 800 number provided on the welcome package within 30 days of receiving it. I still haven't received a "welcome" package in the mail. My gut told me after a week that this was a scam so I quickly canceled my credit card in fear that I would get charged the $29.95 monthly. I was charge a total of $20.95 and am not able to dispute this charge. I would really like to get refunded this money but am not sure how to do this. The number for Consumer Grocery Advantage is a recording that asks you to leave your number and they would call back. If you email them, they send you an auto reply stating that someone will get back to you very soon. I called and emailed over a week ago and no one has gotten back to me. It's a total scam. I feel like a fool believing that I could get $2,000 worth of free groceries for just $19.95. I'm ready to go to the media with this and have them investigate further. ABC "Brian Ross Investigates" will be a place for me to start. I'm sure many people have been scammed since this was advertised via local radio stations. This has to be known and the people behind this need to be punished for preying on innocent people.
