This company continued to call and threaten collection action against our business. They say that we placed an ad with them in November, 2011 and owe $649.95. My office manager passed it along to me. She was suspicious because they said she placed the ad. All ads for our business are placed by me, and I never commit to an ad without physically or electronically signing an ad copy or proof. I called them and asked for a written contract that I had signed. Instead, they played me what sounded like a spliced together recording of my office manager placing an ad with them for her previous employer, for a business that has not existed for over 2 years. This included her giving an address that is in no way associated to our business. I told them their information was incorrect. There is no way that ad was placed in November 2011. I told them I was NOT paying the charge. She responded that the recording was what they had to work with and that we had to pay. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she would have to put in a request for that. This is a total scam. My office manager is absolutely certain she never placed an ad with them for our business....especially in the name and address of a business that no longer exists, and hasn't for well over 2 years.
