The name of our company is Ideas Unlimited and one of the service we provide is web design and development. Jordan (the owner) from Laprom Moving contacted us on an online platform to tweak their website (make changes to their website).

The original project was for $400 and 3 days of tweaking. However, after the project started, she said that it would take few more days to get the right combination and changes done. We agreed to this, thinking that it would probably be one week or max ten days.

She kept on giving us tweaks (changes on her website) for one MONTH!!!! We tried to be as nice as possible and kept on doing whatever she was asking for. At the end of one month of tweaking, which had already cost our company more then what she was paying us, she blamed us for her not liking the design, even though whatever we had done was according to her instructions.

She then sent us a mock up (a psd version of how she wants the design to look like). Please note that this is sent to the designer at the beginning of a new project but this was sent to us after we had done one month of tweaking for her already. In other words she wanted us to redesign the website for her without paying anything extra. We declined this at the beginning but then agreed to work on it as we had already invested so much of our time and money that cancelling the project would mean further loss for us.

We redesigned the website for her for only $50 more bucks (this is usually done at $250-500) but made a deal that she would not leave a bad feedback for us on that online platform we were working on. After we redesigned the website for her, she released the payment. We then transferred the website to her server. At this time, she came up with another request: to train her assistant on using WordPress back end (the site was made on WP). Usually companies charge extra for this but we invested 6-8 hours extra on training her assistant, for free. We thought everything was finally over but she proved us wrong again. As her assistant was trying new things on the back end, he was making mistakes and those mistakes caused errors on the website. She started emailing us again to rectify those errors and failed to even take credit for those. She started blaming our company again for those errors and we had some heated conversations with her. However, we asked our team to rectify those errors a couple of times but when we started noticing that she was making this an habit, we had to use strong words to ask her to stop.

Right after this, she left a poor feedback for us on that platform which has hurt our company a lot. I think clients like these, who fail to understand anything regarding the work and are trying to exploit their workers by getting way more work done and paying less, should not be allowed to work online.

We have decided not to take any actions against her even though we are very upset with what she had done but we will just move forward. However, we just wanted to file a complaint so anyone else who is trying to work with her would know this.

Thanks
