I applied for an office assistant job with shadowshopper.com This guy emailed me and asked me to be his assistant. he would send me his mail and packages. i received a check in the mail yesterday in my name asking me to cash it, take out a certain amount for my wages and then western union the rest of it to a different name than his. He stated it was for an orphanage for charity. Then I was to email him back with the numbers and amount transfered. I received another check today with the same instructions. I found out from my bank that the check is a fraud. and now i am being held responsible for the money to be paid back to the bank. I want my the money back so I can pay it back to the bank and not be involved in this scam

- You fell for one of the biggest scams of the century. This had absolutely nothing to do with Acosta. Someone might have used their name, but not affiliated. I have worked for Acosta for several years. I have a decent salary as a FT employee, with excellent benefits, car allowance, milage reimbursement and much more. Acost has several large offices in the US and you would never he hired by an individual as an office assistant via this means. All new hires are hired via corporate office, have intern=views in person, drug test and background reports, etc. Please do not blame a 60 year old company for your ignorance and being niiave.
