I received a letter signed by someone named John Carter telling me that I was the beneficiary of an unclaimed settlement of $80,000. A check for $2,267.76 was emclosed. It looked very authentic and was drawn on the J.P.Morgan Chase Bank N.A. They advised me that I should not attempt to cash the check until I had spoken to "one of our agents" (aka John Carter) .

I got on line to check out the authenticity of this company and discovered it was a scam operation. Recipients beware!
