I ordered a vehicle report for $2.95. I received the report and believed that the relationship was terminated. On 04/14/12 I audited my card card statements and noticed that I had been charged $29.99 for January, February, March and April. I called the company and was told that I had never cancelled the contract and had 19 available searches that I could use.
I asked for the mailing address of the company but was informed that the representative could not provide that information. When I stated that I needed the information so that the New York Attorney General could look into the matter, I was offered and accepted a refund for the April charge.
It is my intention to pursue this matter further.

I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN! I am an internet merchant, and am pretty careful about the terms I agree to when I purchase something. This IS RIDICULOUS! I bought a car in Feb. 2012, and purchased the service (for what I thought was 1 month). 'Was charged in March, April and May. A foreigner told me to go to this website for the refund form: http://www.carvinhistory.com/refundform.html . However, the form conveniently says "NO REFUNDS AFTER 30 days." So I'm saving myself the trouble and just doing a chargeback through Paypal. I can at least get April and May refunded.
THESE GUYS ARE CREEPS!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! GO TO CARFAX!!! It costs more, but you won't get scammed. -
