I brought my 2007 Toyota Yaris in for annual state inspection at Toyota of Nashua.

When it got inspected, I was told that I needed 4 new tires in order to pass inspection. The Toyota service representative behind the counter (Mr. George Maxcy) showed several different options I had for tires for my car. One set of tires by GOODYEAR looked good but cost more than the other tires. But, I was told there was an $80.00 rebate that Goodyear was paying on these tires so, I'd be getting $80.00 back eventually. Additionally, Mr. Maxcy submitted the rebate paperwork to Goodyear for me so that I wouldn't have to do it.

A few months went by and now, it's July so I called Toyota to ask about my rebate because, I had not yet received my $800 rebate check. I was told by the Toyota representative who answered the phone that they couldn't help me and that this was between Goodyear and myself.

So, I contacted Goodyear to inquire about my rebate. I found that there was no record of my rebate having been submitted by Toyota so although Toyota told me that they submitted my rebate for me, they actually did not.

SO I faxxed my paperwork to Goodyear so that they could process my paperwork. I was called back by a Goodyear representative named DANIELLE and told that the tires I bought didn't qualify for the rebate. I explained that Toyota sold me these tires and told me they DID qualify for a rebate. And - as I expected - I was told that this was between me and Toyota to resolve.

So, I contacted Toyota again and explained what happened and told them that they owed me $80.00. I really didn't care who paid me the $80.00 but since Toyota sold me a more expensive set of tires and used a bogus rebate to get me to purchase those tires, I felt that Toyota owed me the money.

Needless to say, Toyota blew me off and did not refund me the $80.00 they owed me.

Too bad for Toyota of Nashua.
I'd purchased 4 vehicles from this dealership over the last 5 years and I used to get all of my auto service done at this dealership. I will not be doing any future business with this dealership and I'll be reporting them to the auto commissioner of New Hampshire (using bogus rebates to get consumers to buy something is illegal, as far as I know).

Toyota of Nashua lost a lot more than the $80.00 that they owed to me.
