I attended a tour on/around the 23 of Nov. After some discussion, promise of a purchase of my current MVC timeshare, the "deal" ended up being that there would be no money out of my pocket - except there was a $10k deposit required. I knew it was too good to be true, but went forward anyhow.

Upon return to the states, I was advised that the "sale" couldn't go through until a WLD provided a release letter, which wouldn't happen until they were paid, which wouldn't happen until I sold my timeshare - so we were in a bit of a stalemate. After a few heated conversations, they agreed to let the "sale" go forward and we moved to the next step which was where a transfer fee was required to complete the sale.

I paid the transfer fee in early January and waited several weeks to hear that there was now a Mexican Sales tax required, which is the last part of the deal to finish prior to being able to "close". Unfortunately, Rose (with Continental resources) is very convincing and I paid this transfer fee and am now waiting to hear the status - which I know the answer to - I am out the money.
