I ordered a dress from amazing-prom.com because I fell in love with this white strapless dress claiming to be 'Jovani' brand overstock. It cost me $210 (ended up being $215 on my account though because of some extra handling fee)
First Day:
It arrived on time but poorly packaged. IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THE DRESS I ORDERED. It arrived with a faded out picture of my dress where you cant clearly tell the details. I immediately looked up the return policy and it says: 'Unreturnable

1, --We don’t take any responsibility on the delay of your using the product if the processing of Custom Made order is delayed due to the late remittance of product fare.

2, --We don’t accept the request for the return of your received product in the event of product did not meet your requirement on the change of style from the original product design. We shall strictly follow your requirement on the change of the original design of product after you paid for the relevant order you placed.
--We made the items by strictly follow with the style and the material displayed on the site

3, all requests for returns such as not looks like the picture I ordered, dissatisfy about the quality and not the material I like etc, are not accepted.

4, --In case of your not satisfied about the product received from us, please contact our customer service as soon as possible. For maintain your own interests, we don't accept the returning of the goods you are not satisfied without a Return Authorization. We are neither responsible for the refund nor take over your dispute on the product after you return the goods without the Return Authorization and caused the package missing during the return."

IT IS RIDICULOUS! you might as well say you dont return. However your allowed to return if there is a manufacturer error or color deviation, which you must then dispute with them because of 'Color aberration is existed due to the color effect by the PC monitor and weather condition. The quality problem is not included with color aberration.' and defects must be OBVIOUS. I SENT AN IMMEDIATE EMAIL REQUESTING A RETURN AUTHORIZATION, and got NOTHING.

The second day:
I resent the original message and still NOTHING. I tried on the dress and discovered that along with it being the wrong fabric it was also the wrong Measurements. It looks like a cheap circus dress instead of an elegant long goddess dress. Not to mention this supposedly 'long slim' dress actually makes me look like a Christmas tree from the bust down and I am a size 4 in dresses. It also has an obvious awkward bulge on the left side above the slit (that's supposed to be at mid-thigh but instead is by the knees even though I'm 5'7''). I took MANY pictures and pointed out ALL THE MISTAKES and send it to them. STILL NOTHING.

The Third day:
(note they have a time limit for return which is also shady and confusing something between 3-7 days)
NOTHING. I resent all the messages I sent and finally got this:
"Thank you for contacting us.
We are very sorry for that you are not satisfied with our dress.
Could you please try to take it to seamstress and have it altered better? We could offer you some discount to make up for your loss.
We do not recommend that you ship dress back, parcel will be always lost in transit.
Really sorry for the inconvenience."

I then insisted that the abide their return policy and demanded my money back. Again no response for days. I kept resending the messages and got this:
"Thank you for your response.
We are sorry for that but it is weekend before and time differece exsit.
If you return the dress back, it will cost you at least 150 USD by Fedex shipping fee. Please not chose other shipping methods to the address in parcel, it is just left by Fedex expres company.
Only Fedex shipping method can reach to this address and the guys will sign the parckage for us. And we will not be responsible for parcel loss.
And it will be quite a long time when we receive dress and give you a 80% refund of initial price of dress ( that would be 136 USD, there is a 20% restocking fee)
We do not recommend that you ship dress back, I could apply for a 50USD coupon code for you and you can keep this dress.
It does not need to waste your value time.

I think these emails speak more than enough of the kind of scam this website is. Not too mention illegally using pictures from other branded dress and assuring they are legal overstock. The picture of my dress was also taken off the website almost immediately after i bought it and the history off my account with them was erased including the sale and measurements I requested.

Luckily I found a $155 dress at a local prom store just in time, but nobody will return my $215 which for a teenager with a part time job took me months to make. All i can do is warn you, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZING-PROM.COM. IT IS A SCAM.

Update: 04/16/2012

It isn't an unauthorized credit charge its a website scam that will not abide their return policy.
