I visited Sunshine Promotions at their Washington, DC address to listen to their advertisment of travel/resort program. I told them that I didn't have the full down payment but was asked to leave a post dated check for the amount of $600 and to send an additional $600 the following month to make it a total of $1200 down payment.

I did not have the additional $600 the following month therefore, I asked them to refund my initial check for $600 (I had never completed a contract for membership), therefore, everything was null and void. However, After sending several messages over the phone to different people, I found got a call from a Ms. Stephanie Turk.

Ms. Turk and I responded over the telephone and by email, giving her the detail of the situation. She acknowledge my circumstances and emailed me back stating she would confirm when the check would be mail to me.

I never heard from Ms. Turk again, and I have been trying by phone and email every since.

When I call her number the person answers and said she does not work there they are another company that had taken over the property and are only answering their phone and delivering the messages by email. They ask me to continue emailing her as they had done for me! Who knows if they aren't part of the scam??

I am going to pursue this matter because I need my money, and I need it badly!
