  • I heard the same advertisement on the radio thinking I would get vouchers for groceries because they were doing a research study of what people were buying. I asked the representative if the grocery stores know about this program and I would be able to use these so called vouchers at any grocery store and he said, "yes." If I had known it was a coupon provider I would not have paid $19.95 for this so-called money saving opportunity! I am a very busy person and live paycheck to paycheck, the advertisement seemed perfect and since it was on the radio I assumed the station had done their homework and the ad was legit. Never again. It sounded too good too be true. Now I'm out 20 bucks.

  • I got scammed too. I'm so angry with myself for doing something like this, but I think I ended up getting lucky in the end. I called the 1-800 number yesterday after I heard it on the radio. I agreed to the $20 S&H fee and gave them my card # (which was just so stupid of me!) After listening to the slick talking agent go on and on about other offers, and trying to decline them (though I have a feeling he put them through anyway), I got off the phone with a sick feeling in my stomach. I did some research and found out about the over charging and unauthorized charging being done from this company and the companies with "special free trial offers". I decided to cancel everything and tried to call the customer service number, but got a recorded message about hours and whatnot. I called back in the morning (today) and getting hung up on, a busy signal, or just put on hold. I kept checking my bank account to see if I had already been charged, which luckily I had not. I went to my ba

  • OK...I admit it...I got scammed and there isn't anyone to blame but myself. I too responded to a radio advertisement for grocery "vouchers" - website says my newly registered account is "expired", can't get a response from the much vaunted "Customer Service" (Corporate meeting according to the recorded message - probably figuring out ways to rip us off more!) So - easy way out, folks: contact your bank, cancel your debit or credit card and have a new one issued. Explain that you are willing to eat the original charge that you actually DID authorize - but this keeps the company from charging you any more. Specifically request from your bank that your new numbers NOT be transferred - you MUST contact any legitimate monthly charge companies you have arranged (autopay electric for example, insurance, anything you set up for auto charge) and give them your new numbers. Pain in the backside, but the only way to stop these companies is to cut the pursestrings. Luck to all!

  • About 2 weeks ago I heard an ad on the radio stating that there was a study of how Americans were spending their grocery money and by participating in the study participants would receive a card valued at $2000. On the phone the rep from American Value Grocery said that we would receive $2000 in vouchers and a $50 gas card good at any location. We were required to enroll in several other programs to enroll in the main offer. They charged $19.99, $14.99 of which was supposed to go towards s&h. The "card" arrived a few days ago. They used a $.64 stamp! Inside was a card stating we could redeem $50 of gas rebates by going online. The gas stations were limited to Arco*, Sunoco*, ExxonMobile, BP*, Shell, Mapco*, Marathon*, and Speedway* not "at any location".The closest gas station is at the other side of the next city over. The ones starred are ones that don't exist for the next 1000 miles or so. Also, the "card" was a flyer stating that we could log-on to their account and print at home c
