I was applying for a loan online and this company reached out to me after a couple days. I thought they were for real because of the mannerism used and the valid contracts and emails I received. The only person I was able to talk to from that company was someone called Jeff Gordan and he email me from [email protected] and his phone number was 877 496 0300 ext 14. After he contacted me the first time he gave me three options to secure my loan. I was not eligible for two of them so I decided to secure it with insurance. He told me that it would cost $400 to secure it with the insurance and that I would have to pay it through their company's western union account. I thought it was a little fishy at first but decided to go through with it. My friend loaned me the $400 and it cost $28 to send it to these people. He then told me it would take two hours for the funds to get transferred into my account and that I should call him after 2 hours if I didn't receive the money. When I realized I never got it I called him and he told me that my funds were put on hold because I was considered an at risk customer. This is when I realized that I was scammed and my friend lost this much money. I told this Jeff guy to cancel everything and send the money back to me so I could get my friend her money back but even though he reassured me he would I still do not believe that he intends on sending the money back to me.

    I just want to thank you for posting this. My husband & I applied for a loan through the same company & like you they wanted $400.00 up front for insurance. A red flag ..so I googled Serenity Lending Group & that's when I came across your complaint. I'm sorry your friend is out her money that really sucks! What ever it's worth your post will help stop other people from being scammed. It stopped my husband & I from making a big mistake!

  • I want to thank you so much for your posting, ive been on and off from work due to injories from my job I applied for a loan and was contacted by the same person (jeff gordon) and the same deal one of three co,sighner another and the insurance , the same as you the mail was sent with the insurance opption only,thanks to reading your post you saved me a great sum of money only out the 15.00 it cost to fax the papers, im sory to hear you lost that much money but god thank you for helping the rest of us..people beware if it is done thru western union it is 90 percent a fraud.
