Complaint Report Details
PLEASE READ SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY: This is a very tricky scam and that is why it works so well on the unknowing consumer. They use confusion as a main tactic.
E Driven Concepts scams business owners that are paying an internet marketing company for advertising. Business owners pay internet marketing firms so that potential customers can easily find them on the major search engines. E Driven Concepts and their fraudulent sales people actually POSE to be a representative from the company that the business owner actually hired. The consumer is MISLEAD into thinking they are discussing their account with the company that they are paying. The salesman, "Josh" "Ryan" or whoever else they are pretending to be that day have actually DEFRAUDED customers into giving them a Credit Card # because the CONSUMER THINKS THEY ARE TALKING TO THE COMPANY THAT THEY HIRED! The "salesman" even promises them that they will fulfill certain duties. These promises can never be accomplished because the REAL company would not know since E Driven Concepts is POSING as a FAKE employee of the firm that the business owner hired! Then, the business owner/customer gets upset because they did not get what was "promised" by the fake employee that is really from E Driven Concepts. They typically start the conversation like this, " I am calling you about your account with(FILL IN THE BLANK COMPANY NAME ), you called me about 2 weeks ago because you were unhappy with the service, remember?" The truth is that the customer NEVER WAS CALLED PREVIOUSLY and this is a ploy to confuse and manipulate the business owner/customer. The business owner/customer gets very confused and says, "I guess so, I don't remember, but I do make and get a lot of business calls daily, so maybe I did?" The salesman from E Driven Concepts WILL NOT answer a question if the savvy consumer asks, "Wait, are you calling me from Fill in the Blank Marketing?" The salesman usually responds by saying, "Wait, I am confused, I am returning your call from a couple of weeks ago because you said you were unhappy with the service you are getting...". If a savvy customer PRESSES for an answer(are you calling me from Fill in the Blank Marketing), the salesman hangs up without answering. We have heard SEVERAL calls that went this way. IF they call you, hang up immediately and reply to this post or create your own complaint. They must be stopped from using such unethical tactics that harm marketing firms and consumers!! This is very serious and E Driven Concepts should be ashamed.
