I was contacted on the "plenty of fish" dating site by a woman by the Sarah Besse, saying she was a US solider who was stationed in Brisbane Australia, after coming back from Afghanistan. I noticed the working in her sentences wasn't great, and over the weeks she kept avoiding questions about me calling her or meeting her outside her barracks, saying she wasn't allowed to call or have visitors, which is a load of rubbish as I know soldiers are allowed down time and are encouraged to contact friends and family. So after doing some searching on the internet I saw that the name Sarah Besse has been used by Nigerian scam artists previously. I immediately emailed back to "Sarah" saying I knew it was a scam, and I am blocking "her" email address. I just wanted everyone to be aware that this scam is going around again, they are quite patient and will talk to you for a very long time prior to asking for money so they can leave the military and stay in Australia. They hadn't gotten to that stage with me yet, but the emails promised true love and marriage, and wanting a family with me by the third email, which is what made me suspicious. So please be careful of anyone claiming to be a soldier in the US military who is based in your country and wants true love immediately. Don't be fooled. I didn't send any money and whilst it's always upsetting this person isn't real "as I did find her attractive at first and wanted to meet her" I am happy I did some research and realized it was all a scam in the making.
