$471.43 represents the difference between my Palmco Energy bill and what it would have been had I just stayed with PSE&G for the past two months.

Signed up with Palmco with a door-to-door agent who said I would be saving by going with Palmco Energy. I'm used to paying around $200/month during the winter, so January's bill of $333.33 raised an eyebrow for me. Come February's bill, I was shocked to see the amount of $526.16 for my one bedroom apartment. Let's break this down:

PSE&G- Gas: 53.85
PSE&G- Electric: 45.13
- These two amounts would still be the same. NOW:
Palmco Energy NJ, LLC Gas Charges: 216.53
-if I had gone with just PSE&G: $37.11
Palmco Energy NJ, LLC Electric Charges: $210.65
-if I had gone with just PSE&G: $74.57

So, $210.66(PSE&G) vs $526.16 (Palmco)

I called Palmco today and cancelled my service. The representative said that they would contact the supplier- who usually takes 2-3 business days to get back to them- and they would take care of it. When I asked how long before the service is cancelled, she said "with any luck" by the end of the next billing cycle. Looking around the web, it seems that this can actually take 2-3 months. Great.
When I called PSE&G to confirm the numbers (I didn't know what else to do) and told them about my cancellation of Palmco's services, she said that I would be hit with a cancellation fee from Palmco. The Palmco representative made no mention of this, and on their contract, it says "no cancellation fees," but I could be reading it wrong.

Stay away from Palmco. They do NOT save you any money.

I saw on another forum that a lawyer named Greg Blankinship, [email protected], was investigating false advertising claims in connection with Palmco Energy, so I've contacted him via email today. No response yet.
