Like many others here, at a time of weakness in my life, I took out an internet payday loan with CASH CURE, LLC. The first loan was for $600.00, and (ugghhh, kills me to admit this) I made about 15 payments of $159.00, before I rolled the remaining amount due into a second loan for $750.00. I made 4 payments of $196.00, and was set to make a fifth, when I came upon a website offering help with such loans. It was explained to me that CASHCURE has to be licensed, within your specific state, to have the loan considered "legal" and "collectible". It explained that you should pay the Principal back, if not already accomplished, then simply Close your bank account, wherein they automatically withdraw your payments, open a new account for your own purposes, and talk to your bank to make sure there aren't any links between the two (which could enable CC to continue withdrawing funds.) Then you need to send an email (I found a sample letter on the debtconsolidation help website, I referenced earlier) To CS at CashCure.com, stating that you have leartned that to be considered a legal lender in your state, CAsh Cure has to be licensed within that state, which they aren't, and therefore this loan is illegal. While you are not legally required to do so, you offer to pay the principal, and if you already have, request that the overpaid funds be sent back to you via a Cheque (do not give them any new account numbers, or cash that check into your checking, take it to a check casher and pay the fee!) And for Cash Cure to send you verification that your account is considered "Paid In FUll", with no future attempts to garnish wages, selling the account into collections, or contacting employers, friends and family. After doing all this (again, close your checking account immediately, siting fraudulent ACH withdrawals), I received an email from Cash CUre saying that, "as a courtesy, my loan is considered "Paid in full" and a cheque was remitted in my name for what I overpaid!! This was amazing! I was absolutely ashamed at how this loan made me feel, killing my account and finances twice a month, and by following the steps listed on the website (google "Debt consolidation care payday loan help forum") I was able to Liberate myself and take my life back from these predators. Good Luck! Oh, also, if your questioning the legality of a specific lender, your state's attorney general will have a searchable list of those licensed within your state. Illegal lenders cannot do anything to you, legal or illegal. If they claim that you signed documents saying you will abide by the terms of the Lender's state, such as Delaware, that is entirely illegal, and unenforceable. Good Luck, and Cash Call....your days are numbered, but you already know that!
