This man posted a car on craigslist and said it was in perfect running condition. I test drove the car for roughly 10 minutes, gave him $3,900 cash and on my way home the transmission went out and the car started smoking very badly. Turns out the car was registered to a BMW (fake registration) and the license plates belonged to a Honda. The car I bought is a 2000 Acura. This man said he and his wife owned it for 4 years. It was all a lie. Now, I have no money and no transportation. I'm a single mom and need a reliable vehicle to make it back and forth to work. This hurt me very badly. I'm devastated.
