I received a call from a Beth, new employee, who said she works for Readers Service, she was offering a deal on magazines, then, Jason, came on the line to tell me more of the magazines. he then told me I would get a call from another person,Jay who told me the call was going to be recorded. I then was trying to listen to everything that he was offering me, but, I never heard a 3 day cancellation on this order , because he was talking too fast. I stupidly gave him my info on my 1st Visa ending w/7835 to start the process, every month after that I provided another Visa ending with7660 to be debited of $33.20. I was checking both accounts & the company tried 2 attempts to tske out $33.20 twice on the 5th of Feb. 2013. I told them, & Jackie was telling me NO! we did not attempt to take it out of your Visa ending with 7660. but, they did try, & the bsnk declined, only because I did not have the funds available. So, I asked to tslk to her supervisor, which, I never talked to, & then Jackie came back on the line & told me I could not cancel my subscription. So, I wanted to talk to someone else, then, Mary came on the line & told me the same thing, I told her that I do not remember the amt of 700-800 that was quoted to me that I did not hear Jay telling me only $33.20 for every 2months. I told Mary, that I was a disabled senior & want to cancel all future subscriptions, she told me to call her tomorrow, that she would check the archives on the recorded call from Jay, to see what she could do. I told her okay. I did call my bank to check to see if any other transactions were declined, since the company attempted to take out $33.20 twice, but, non- sufficient funds so, nothing was deducted. but, I did not tell them to take the out of both accounts on the 5th of Feb. thank you, ms roxie dakota, in San Antonio, Tx.
