This web site announces to work as an intermediary which brings employers into contact with a translator. After a job is done the employer provides the payment of the translator. When the 2 day policy isn’t applied and an assignment takes longer than one week the translator will still only receive payments for finished and approved assignments.
Below is from the web site -------
"Working as a translator is accessible to many people, thanks to the fact there is room for mistakes in translations of the 1st level. Nonetheless, not everyone is suitable for the job. Here you can read more about what you need in order to get started as a translator.
•Of course you need to understand a language and be able to transfer it reasonably well in another language.
•A computer with internet connection is a must! You will receive assignments digitally and they also need to be handed in digitally.
•A text editor is another necessity. If necessary, you can download notepad here for free.
•Having an e-mail address is compulsory. Communication mainly takes place via e-mails and therefore your e-mail address needs to be filled out in your application.
•You have to agree to our short and sweet 2 day policy.
•When you sign up you immediately have to pay the one-time application fee of USD 24.47 at the last step of the application process.
Do you meet all these requirements? Don’t wait any longer and sign up as a translator. YourtranslateJob.com does not have a waiting list which means you can start working right away. Every day approximately 2000 assignments come in so you could receive your first assignment today. The moment payments are done varies and depends on the clients. Generally, fees are paid every week, with a maximum of a month."
But after paying the application fee using my credit card, nothing happened till now.
