  • This is a scam. I contacted an ad for 2 eclectus birds for $300. The person replied with the following;

    Hi and thanks for the mail in regards to the birds which i am giving out for free adoption to any loving and caring home. I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO SELL THEM. the birds have been vet checked, home raised and hand fed. recent in all shots, have an excellent personality and well socialized with kids and other home pets. they are funny, playful, docile, talks and very intelligent.

    if interested, please provide answers to the following questions:
    - do you have kids?? because they do socialize with kids a great deal
    - have you ever owned this breed of birds before ????? they are a very lovely breed to own.
    - where are you located ????

    my main reason for wanting to give the birds to any loving and caring home is due to the very demanding nature of my present job which gives me very little or no time to spend with the lovely birds and also, their parents were given to my family as a gift by a family friend so i also want to give them out. so i am looking for any loving and caring family to send them to for adoption.

    Well if you could give me your word that these birds will be treated with much love and care that they deserve, then i don't mind giving them out to you for adoption.

    When I when could I pick them up since the ad said Florida the person replied that he had moved to Ohio but he could ship them. I told him I had family in Ohio and that they could go see the birds and ship them to me and he then proceeded to tell me that he had no time to be dealing with people and that he could take the bird to the shipping company and that they would call me to get payment. I then told the guy "MR. Jesse Brown" that my brother who is a cop will be looking into this that if he wanted to continue with the transaction, by the way the shipping is $200, that he needed to give me his phone number that way my brother could check into him and make sure that this was not a scam like man. As I googled the number he gave me a ton of ad's for english bulldogs for $200 come up...which that breed is very expensive...and they are all in different locations...and then this one comes up.

    Yes this is a scam. BEWARE!

  • SORRY ALOT OF TYPOS UP THERE...I meant ~When I asked when could I pick them up since the ad said Florida~
    that way my brother could check into him and make sure that this was not a scam~As I googled the number it gave me a ton of ad's for english bulldogs for $200 come up~

  • OH no...see my brother is a police officer and I told the guy that I was going to report it to my brother cause I know it was a scam and that he should be ashamed of himself and there was never a reply. Beware!

  • The same thing happened to me. I was going to adopt some macaws. They told me they where from ohio, but that they could ship the birds to me. I agreed. Once I gave them my address, they told me to go to western union and give them this info:
    Name....george ambe
    Address....4542 Santa avenue
    City....muyuka
    State...kumba
    Zip code....00237
    Country....cameroon
    I looked up his name online and came across this and other site, where hes tryinv to sell horses, bulldogs, birds and even monkeys. This is the email they where using [email protected]. Be very aware.
