your situation is EXACTLY like what happened to me, except for the money amount. I have been given the run around for almost one month. And I was told the billing cycle was 11/22, so when I called yesterday and complained, I spoke to Bob Evans, who said he would forward my information to the accounting dept. I told him that I wanted to personally speak to someone in the accounting department, but of course, he was not able/willing to give me anyone to speak with there. This setback has been extremely devastating for me and my family, that I don't even know what to do. I would love to think that I will get my money back, but I highly doubt it. The funny thing is that Bob Evans told me i could call him back yesterday afternoon, which I did.. two hours after our initial call about the refund.. and, surprise, surprise: the phone number has been disconnected and the website has been taken down.
Raymond Harris told me the exact same thing almost word for word...lender pulled out and it was a breach of contract and they were going to sue them....and that he would try to get my money back to me asap...unfortunately I wouldnt count on it! We lost our money! I closed every bank account I had today so that those lowlife bottom feeders would not be able to have access to anything. I had also contacted BBB, FTC, State Police, so hopefully soon they will be shut down! Goodluck!
After the Bank Teller seen the postings here, I did a WHOIS.net search on both of the websites and their Hosting site. All three were started and housed in Australia.
Of coarse, I didn't look/find this info until after I was at the bank. I had done some searching a week earlier, but I never seen anything posted "bad" on the internet. I mean, I did my homework ( I thought)?
I should have done the WHOIS search back then!!
The rep from Cornerstone was Very friendly and Not Pushy at all!!
I was all set to wire the money to New York, when my rep told me that there was a change in plans, and I now have to send it to Spain. Ya right ( I thought )!, when I announced this to the Teller across from me (at the bank), she and the other girls said, "HANG UP THE PHONE, NOW!!!" ,literally!!
It's just a shame that we have to go this route in order to try to get financing! I have GREAT Credit and an established business. I've had 2 13%-Down in Sales years and in NO-Way even thinking about closing my doors, and have been turned-Down by 6 different banks now!!
