We signed up for a free notebook and two nights in a cabin at Tres Rios RV Resort and a $50 gift card while we were at the Fort Worth RV show in March 2012. In turn, we had to attend a 90 min. presentation on campground membership thru Ocean Canyon Properties. Nathaniel was the person that promised this and it was in writing. They also promised surprise bonus if you call 2-3 days before and confirm your reservation. So we did that. When we called they told us to bring the confirmation letter. We never got one so they sent one. I did not read it but brought it along to give to them.
The presentation was 2-1/2 hours. 1-1/2 hr of presentation and one hour of demining, downright rude, high pressure sales tatics by the sales manager, Alan. After all this they gave us a 3 nite vacation and $50 gift card. I asked for the notebook and gift card they promised. They showed me the confirmation letter we recd. and the last moment. In small print on the bottom it says "
The above offer is in lieu of all other gifts offered to you previously". Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the Classical "BAIT AND SWITCH" con game. If you have ever tried to take one of these vacations, you have found out that there are so many restrictions that it is impossible to get a date.
The whole experience was a joke and a waste of time.
Our sales lady,Grace, told us that after she gave her presentation and tour that she would ask us,yes or no, and that would be it. Guess what, we said no and she called the high pressure sales manager over for another hour grilling.
I have learned over the years that the better the product, the less the pressure. It definately applies here.
