I had a similar incident happen to me, a pop-up on my laptop screen warning of an impending virus, "Trojoan Horse" and to purchase the product to prevent the virus from doing any damage to my computer. My computer starting slowing down after that, with this constant pop-up while starting the computer. I took my laptop to Office Depot and 3/4/2010 and they found a "virus" in my computer. I paid Office depot $129.99 to have the computer's HD cleaned and the virus removed. I got "scammed" also.
