Back in May 10th 2011 someone with a really and I mean really heavy accent call our business number and asked my permition to terminate an account for Yellow Pages Local directory. They said the phone call was being recorded and that all they needed was my consent to close the account to avoid further charges. My husband is the official owner of the company and I knew we use to have an advertising account with the "real" Yellow Pages so I told them that I wasn't comfortable to make any decision without my husband consent. They called and called and called day after day untill, fed-up, I finally told them "ok" close the account and they keep asking to answer "yes" or "no" to authourize the termination. They also told me that we had and outstanding balance of $400 + and that a bill was going to be sent. I said fine, whatever... After a week or so, I started receiving phone calls from them and they proceed to tell me that what I agreed on May 10th was a verbal advertising contract with them to pay that $400+ for a listing (that I went and check and doens't even exist) in their directory! I went on-line and typed in their name and number and a MOTHER LOAD of scam complaints appeard. So, to make it short, during one of the several phone calls they put me thru I told them that I found out their deal and they are now sending letters of collection thru CCRecovery. How do I put them in their place for good?????? Thanks!
