High frequency in both my ears dissapeared and following Dr's examination I began wearing hearing aids to raise ampilfication. But because I was blowing out my family with high TV volume, I purchased TV Ears in May, 2011 warrantied for 1 year. Also purchased additional silicone ear pieces to make the fit more comfortable. Was away from home for 3 months and upon my return I plugged in the base and returned TV Ear head set to be charged again. The apparatus failed and I paied an additional$45.00 to send me another base as rep from TV Ears advised me to do. Today, 10 days later, base arrived and I placed TV ears into unit to begin charging..and again no lights on base. Called and spoke to a Christina..who seemed rather impatient and told me she would send another base connector cord for the unit as she felt that was the problem. I suggested she should also send batteries as I was told the batteries would work for at least 2 years as the unit is only 11 mos old but it would save another shipping charge for her company in case the battery to the TV Ears was the real problem. She wanted to charge me another $25. for a battery and I realized the total would be $150.00 which was almost 2x what I originally paid...Christina then suggested, if I was not happy I could take time out and pay to send the entire unit back and she would check it out...I feel that I am have been a good customer and have paid enough to get things fixed but she apparently wanted to get me off the phone as she was rushing throughout our conversation. It appears that young demographics are always rushing the customers s i have observed with other companies. It is an obvious lack of training and hiring problem. I will keep you all informed as the battle continues..and I still can't hear the TV volume. Philip J. LeNoble, Ph.D.
