My friend, a refugee who has just received his green card, received a letter and check for $4960.20 on the JPMorgan Bank, saying this was for "insurance and administration fees" to cover his "winnings" of $200,000.00 won in the Publisher Lottery sweepstake draw held on March 1st, 2012. Fortunately, we looked up this site first and found many such similar descriptions, which has helped us to understand that this is a scam. Neither John Gonzalez nor David Cruz answered their phone, by the way. Is it possible to get Macy's, Walmart, Sears, Target and all the so-called "sponsors" to take action in this matter?
