I had a posting on craigslist and they responded to it with a phoney e-mail stating I had won an 2 apple gifts. The e-mail was supposed from the CEO of craigslist. After following the links to try to determine who was scamming me, I discover windailygadgets.com. I actually called them and complained. They said it had nothing to do with the CEO scam. I told them That was not true because the links led me right to them. Of course, they denied everything. I told them to never contact me again and to delete any information from their database. I also told them I planned to report them to the State of Texas Attorney General's Office who handles such situations. I have not heard from them since. That does not mean they will not attempt scam me in the future since they obviously have information about me. anyone who reads this should be aware of this scam. Especially if you have a current posting on craigslist. The e-mail claimed to be from James Burritt, CEO of craigslist. The current CEo is: Jim Buckmaster, not James Burritt. They apparently use an assortment of names. I do not understand how they got my e-mail address in the first place since I had listed was my cell.

Beware of posting your e-mail address on craigslist. Maybe you should by a pay-as-you-go cell phone for use only for when you want to sell something on craigslist . Post that number. Not your real e-mail address. You never know.
