I contacted her and indicated that I was interested. She indicated that she was working in Atlanta but moved to Vancouver, Cananda for school. She was emailing me from [email protected]. Naturally, I was a bit skeptical so I researched the domain @mail-vfs.com and it turned out to be a valid for the Vancouver Film School. I even googled her name but nothing came up.

She suggested that we use a third party for the exchanged by the name of http://www.ship-myparceldelivery.net and she would pay the shipping cost. This company was to receive the payment and hold it until I recieved the iMac. Then upon my approval would release the funds to Emily. A company like this really does exist but its website is www.myparceldelivery.com. A few hours later, I received an invoice from [email protected] that outlined the details of the transaction, shipping method, payment arrangement, and expected delivery date.

The arrangement was for the $600 to be sent to Justin Marcell via western union to Bolton, United Kingdom. Upon receipt of the money I recieved another communication from [email protected]:

Invoice Number: US779789964CA

After the payment was received, it was indicated that the iMac would be sent via FedEx Expedited Shipping and I would receive it Saturday March 24, by 1pm but no shipping info was given. I emailed customer service about the tracking number and received this correspondence:

This was my last communication with whomever this was. I do believe I was scammed seeing how it is 9am on 3/24 and the supposed iMac is to be here at 1pm. "I know that's not happening now" I only wish I had done a much more thorough check before preceding. This Emily Flannigan has an elaborate con with multiple angles working for her. I only wish I had seen this site a couple days earlier.
