I was contacted by MCS through email that I was approved for a loan. I didn't fill out an application on their page, I actually filled out on www.loancity.com. I figured they were affiliated so I didn't even worry about it.
I called the guy from the email Lucas Penny on monday the 24th of July. He explained to me the terms of my 9000 requested loan. I totally thought it was a good deal for me and didn't even mind that I would have to pay 4 payments up front as a security insurance for the loan. I was just so excited to finally get approved, couldn't wait to pay off some credit cards . So I was emailed the forms and told to print them , fill them out , and fax back. Papers looked legit and professional. I faxed them back , along with my drivers license and paystub. I was contacted within a half hour that everything looked good. I said I will get the money the next day for deposit on loan. He explained that wiring is the preferred form of payment because then I would get my funds deposited in my account within hours. Otherwise I would have to wait 2 weeks. I wired the cash next day to Spain. He explained that they had to go international because they were more willing to work with my credit history. Wednesday July 26th I wired $720 plus had to pay a $56 transfer fee. Lucas told me on the phone that I would be reimbursed the fee. So my loan would end up being 9000 plus 56 going into my back account by 3pm. Needless to say never got the money. They tried to call me the next day and ask for more money but by then I realized I was scammed because I started seeing the reviews. I only saw 3 good reviews when I was researching the first time. That money was my rent and car payment. I was humiliated that Lucas would talk to me on the phone pretending to be helping me when hes laughing the whole time at me inside. I had to explain to my boyfriend where his half of the money went. I was embarrassed and felt really stupid. I am not a stupid girl. They guy was just soo convincing that I had no idea. I thought I was going to finally breathe and get some credit cards taken care of. I have copies of everything. The wire transfer and the original loan documents. Thank you, Carrie
