i called in to a guy (salesman) to inquire about a used engine to replace my damaged one in my 1994 chevy pick up.i was specific about low mile ,rust,and not getting one from an eastern state.he stated he found one local to me in califirnia that meet my needs and it only had 77k miles.i agreed,a few days go by,then he calls me and tells me the yard he was getting it from decided to sell it to a local friend of the owner.he then tells me of another yard in texas where he lacated a motor that was bench tested and supositetly meet all my needs.when i inquired about the miles, he kept dancing around the questionand garanteed me the yard he was getting it from had a good reputation.by then my truck was sitting at the mechanics shop for almost two weeks.so i figurred ill get this other motor cause bob had gained my trust,altough i was still upset over the first engine that i missed out on.a few days later i received the other engine.it had rust all over it,the cranckshat was leaking oil,one of the heads was bad and according to my mechanic,had we installed that engine witch god knows how many miles it had,that it would smoke and we would end up pulling it back out.so i called bob back and also spoke to his manager(bill).they said they would make a parcial refund to me.theycharged me $220.00(20%)restocking fee,$200.00for shipping,and that i would also have to pay for shipping it back to texas, witch cost me another $400.00. after all said and done , looks like ill be netting$390.00 out of my $1250.00 that i paid.this is bad bussiness and not fair to customers like myself that didnt know better.still no reason to take advantake of me,what else can i do. thank you.
