I am handicapped in a wheelchair. My husband is the person in our household that picks up and delivers the mail. On 08/03/2011 he brought in a letter from our house address for me, from the Awards Notification Commission or (ANC). After we both looked ot the letter though sounding quite official to me, my husband a Former mail carrier for the United States Post Office. He said" lots of people got these letters particularly addressed to the elderly" and the Post Office so far has done nothing about it. I went on the Internet and found many complaints from people targeted to be scammed. One that particularly caught my eye was from someone who noted they
usually did the scam before Christmas to many of the elderly " so the impact would be bigger and better fo the scammers I would guess.
I ran across other letters to the Post Office in the same tone and they would always end why didn't the Post Office do Something to stop this.
It occured to me when we had high up poliiticians and people whose jobs were of the higher ranks in the Post Office through the anthrax
scare. All the that got letters either had the examined by some machines or people with lower rank in the Post Office were made to deliver and open them. Why is our plight any different?
The PO would hardly have to use master brian work since the scammers have a tendency to use the same addresses.
Now I'm not Sherlock Holmes, but why doesn't the PO just NOT DELIVER mail with that post mark, and find out who uses that PO address? Or at least examine.
It would hardly take any of the genius that the PO uses for the position they are in now.

Angry, you bet! This scum is targeting people who are either in their golden years and may be as sharp as they once(remember, with any luck you'll be in your golden years also), and are basically saying they are not as important to protect. Or people as they oyher wise view as infirm
