I purchased a set of furniture. I went to this company because I am on disability and I have purchased furniture from this company before. After the furniture was delivered I noticed the linning of one of the chairs where torn. No real big deal ! But I noticed there were nicks on the wood of the coctail tabel. No big deal ! After sitting on the furniture the cushion was very low and very uncomfortable . I couldn't believe this was the same furniture I sat on 2 days before.
I have arthritis I can't sit low because it is very painful for me to get up. I called the store to ask if there was any way possible that I could exchange this furniture for something that was more comfortable. I explained that the furniture sat too low to the floor,
I was told all sales were finale. By the 3rd. day I said maybe I can go back to the store and talk to the owner ( Mark ) at which I have known for many years and sent many customers to him. But I was told there was nothing that he could do.
Tearry eyed I left the store. I tried to adjust to this furniture but it was just impossible to sit on it. I called again to ask could they at least send someone out to look at the furniture.
I was then told that they have a repair person and they would send him out. Once the repair person arrived I asked him to just sit . He to thought that it was pretty bad and began to write up an order for repair. Another 2 weeks past and he finally came out to repair the furniture but he did not have enough material to complete the job.
So he left one of the chairs with the back open for another 3 weeks.
let me also say I purchased this furniture because the holidays were coming and I expected company.
The scene was very embarassing this was through Memorial day weekend and the 4th of July. On Tues. July 5th. I called the store to see if anyone was ever going to come back and at least put the back>>> back on my furniture. A few days later the repair person came out. He apoloized and repaired the furniture as best that he could.
Now the furniture is so uneven you can't sit on it. there is a big hump in the center which causes you to slide to the corner and that is really uncomfortable. Within this purchase I bought my husband a reclyiner. That to was supposed to be repaired because it had a sink hole in the arm as if someones arm had been there for a very long time. The repair person attemped to fix it but the sink hole is still there. Bottom line this was some poorly made furniture. I have been stressed out about this furniture every since the day it came into my house. What's even worse I am in debt for $4,500.00. which will take me forever to pay for because I am on a fixed income. I made the first payment. So to attempt to satisfy me I was told that I didn't have to make a payment for 2 months.
Thats fine and good but I still can not sit on this furniture and when I do I am miserable. I didn't attempt to say this is a scam but what was sold to me was definetly defective. All I wanted was to replace this furniture with something I can live with.
