I sent out a resume to an ad on craigslist for an administrative assistant position in fort collins, co. I received the following email from "Caryl":

Hi Amanda,

I am Caryl, the hiring staffing assistant. I got your resume today,
and I am excited to let you know that I think you are an awesome candidate.
Your previous job history is a huge plus. If you choose,
I would like to move you forward in the application process now!

The next step is to get your info over to Diane the hiring manager.
To avoid problems, she only views resumes that are viewable online.
To load your resume complete the instructions below:

1. Go to the our web site:

nrfmanagement.com/application/
(Copy and paste this link to your address bar if it is not clickable)

2. Next, enter your personal info and upload your resume.

IMPORTANT! Each applicant is required to have a personal application
code in order to fill the application.

Your code is: gcBJws2zeG

Let me know when you finish the instructions.
If you don't contact me by tomorrow I'll assume that you are not interested
in the job, and I'll go on to the next candidate.

Amanda, you're a decent candidate for the job,
but I will move on to the next candidate if I have to.

I went to the website and put in the code and they asked for my phone and said they were going to verify it. That's as far as I went, been through these scams before. I didn't find anything here on scambook about this company but they're are quite a few things here:

http://www.indeed.com/forum/gen/Job-Interviews/Is-job-scam-Asking-credit-score-before-interviewing/t304349/p7

and apparently it's the same old news. You eventually end up at creditreport.com and have to sign up for their "free" 7-day trial (after which you are automatically charged $19.99/month) because they "must have" your credit score before going any further. ABSOLUTELY no legit company is going to ask you for this before hiring you or even speaking to you for that matter. Nor have I ever seen a company that has the employee do their own credit check like this. There's so many scammers on craigslist, the job sections is becoming a joke!

**The emails that these other people received at indeed.com (website above) were pretty much the same word for word only the assistant's name, the job, and the city had changed. Also, if you go to their website: www.nrfmanagement.com, there is, of course, no contact info.
