We were presenting at the Kosher Fest food show last year. We received a letter in the mail from Construct DATA asking us to confirm our information which was already printed. Our secretary who was sure it was a free update signed the form and sent it back thinking she is just confirming the data on our company to be included in the show book. Almost 2 months later we got this invoice in the mail for $1,877.00 stating that we signed a contract with this company for 3 years to publish our name in their site. We didn't know what to do until we consulted a lawyer friend who said he thinks its a scam and he google search the company and sure enough he found plenty of material against them both in the US and in Europe. It appears that this company is scamming all over the place. Please file a complaint against this company like I did with FTC and go to www.econsumer.gov There is no need to panic - just collect all documents they send you as evidence. This company is now located in Slovania - guess that's the only place they can operate from legally now probably.
