I first contacted Accurise in February 2011, after numberous phone calls with Matt Horak I decided to sign up for the service. I initially paid $60 for him to review my case and then was told the total cost of the service would be $500 which I could pay in 2 installments. He didn't say what he can increase my score to but he did say that I had a great case and they can make some changes. We verified all my personal info which was correct as they were able to pull up my report. After paying the initial $60 for case eval and then another $500 I started getting charged $80 per month. When I contacted Accurise I was told it was part of the agreement for 180 days, this happened in May - 3 months after I started the process and only 1 thing being removed from my report. I told the girl on the phone to cancel my account as it's not worth the premium, she assured me nothing would come from my account. June comes along and nothing drafts from my account and I think everything is fine. In July TWO DRAFTS for $80 came out of my account which in turn over withdrew my checking account. I've been trying since to contact Accurise to cancel my account but the phone number on the website does not ring, I found another number for CCC and it too, does not ring. I sent an email to [email protected] with no response. I found another number on the website, spoke with someone for a brief second, who transferred me to the "cancellation department" and the phone rang to a voice mail, I left a voice mail with my full name and contact information and have not yet received a phone call back. I've already notified my bank so if the money is drafted again this month my bank will also set up a dispute. I feel this company is a scam, they lure you in and take your money. I have received only ONE letter from one of the 3 credit companies, just ONE! When I log on to www.creditstatusnow.com it shows rounds of letters going out but I am not receiving any of them. I then noticed that they have my date of birth COMPLETELY WRONG!!! They're off by 6 YEARS of age!! And this information was verified by Mr. Horak & my driver license that I scanned and sent to them!!! This company is completely bogus. I'd love to see a 'well written' response from Accurise, just like with the other Accurise complaint from another person in July.

  • We have been performing credit repair services for this client since February. She has currently has a very limited credit profile with which to work. However, in that time we have been able to remove 10 negative items from her credit history and we believe we are on the verge of getting another group of deletions tomorrow. In that time her average score with the major bureaus has increased 40 points and with this next set of deletions we believe she will probably enjoy another increase in score. This is despite the fact that a new trade line began to report negatively after we started on the case. We have reported this information to the client.

We do not promise a specific score or number of deletions, nor do we have an 180 day contract. It is a month to month contract expiring after 180 days. Pursuant to that contract, we have a money back guarantee that says that if we do remove any negative items from a client’s credit history in 180 days that we will refund the money they have paid us.

For those clients who choose to enter our program we have an initial charge that does the foundational work for the repair, which is considerable and puts out the initial dispute letters and is timed so there is time to obtain the required responses from the creditors and bureaus. In some cases, that is the only effort required and the client obtains the results they desired in that single round of disputes. All of our clients have a lifetime membership with us and they can come and go from the program as they desire. There are never any renewal or reapplication fees. For those clients who need work beyond the initial phase or choose to come back to our program after leaving it, they simply pay the monthly service fee. This fee is not hidden, it is plainly and conspicuously stated in our contract with the client.

It is our experience that some of the bureaus present their responses to clients in such a way that they are easily missed or ignored like common junk mail. For that reason, and in the case of this client, we will gladly refresh their credit reports and use them to update their accounts.

The client states that she was charged twice in July. Actually the first charge did not go through, but the second attempt did. At first glance it is easy to think this is a double charge when a client reviews their credit card statement. We did not charge her twice in July.

The client is correct in stating that the date of birth on her private online portal had misstated her birthday by six years. This is our error, but it is not reported to anyone or any other entity; it is only seen by her and our analysts. We appreciate her pointing this out and we have corrected the error.

If the client would like to continue to partner with us to repair her credit and improve her score, we would welcome the opportunity to do so. If she prefers that we suspend work on her account, we will do so.
